Terms and Conditions of Conference Registration
Access to the Conference
The National Association of Estate Planners & Councils (NAEPC) reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to limit or deny access to the NAEPC Advanced Estate Planning Strategies Conference (Conference) to any individual or entry.
Cancellation / Transfer
I understand that a request for cancellation / transfer must be received via email to conference@naepc.org. A full refund will be granted if notice is received on or before September 20, 2024. Those who cancel between September 21, 2024, and October 4, 2024, will forfeit a $200 administrative fee. No refunds will be granted after October 4, 2024, for any reason. My request to transfer registration to another individual will be accommodated.
Continuing Education
I understand that the following credit will be requested in all states: legal, accounting, CFP®, CTFA, EA and PRP (including one hour of ethics credit, where applicable) for Monday, October 21st, Tuesday, October 22nd, and the morning of Wednesday, October 23rd. The program will not be filed for insurance credit. NAEPC does not file the program for legal specialization credit. I also understand that NAEPC cannot guarantee the acceptance of credit, either in whole or in part, by continuing education governing bodies. Event Conduct
The National Association of Estate Planners & Councils (NAEPC) is committed to providing all participants at our events with an inclusive and professional environment where they feel comfortable. These events include but are not limited to: educational conferences and supplemental activities or programs included as a part of these events; webinars; and virtual and in-person board and committee activities and meetings; or presentations before local councils or to other organizations when speaking on behalf of NAEPC. Participants, who include attendees and their guests, volunteers, vendors, staff, and all others, are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that is welcoming, respectful and free from any form of discrimination, harassment, or retaliation. Disruptive or harassing behavior of any kind will not be tolerated. Participants asked to stop such behavior are expected to comply immediately. Participants at in-person events who feel unwell or exhibit signs of illness are asked not to attend the event or portions thereof. I agree to abide by the Event Conduct Policy.
Weapons Prohibited
To ensure the safety and security of all attendees at the Conference, firearms, ammunition, knives and weapons of any kind are prohibited from being brought into Conference areas.
Information Presented at the Conference
The information presented at the Conference is made available solely for general information purposes. NAEPC does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of this information. The inclusion of any information or presentation at the Conference does not mean that the NAEPC has endorsed, promoted, or vetted the information.
Mailing List
We may share name, company, title, address, phone number, and/or email address with sponsors and exhibitors. Those who wish to opt out may do so by emailing conference@naepc.org.
Photo/Image Release
I consent and authorize NAEPC to use my likeness in any photo, video, or other digital media taken or to be taken during the Conference in any and all of its publications or internet postings, including those that are print or web-based.
Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk
I am aware and understand that the Conference carries certain potential risks, including injury, disability, illness, death, or damage to personal property resulting from or compounded by the actions, omissions, or negligence of NAEPC employees or vendors, other conference attendees, or others, including negligent emergency response or rescue operations. I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I AM VOLUNTARILY PARTICIPATING IN THE CONFERENCE WITH KNOWLEDGE OF THE DANGERS INVOLVED. I HEREBY AGREE TO ACCEPT AND ASSUME ALL RISKS OF INJURY, ILLNESS, DISABILITY, DEATH, AND/OR PROPERTY DAMAGE ARISING FROM THE CONFERENCE, WHETHER CAUSED BY THE ORDINARY NEGLIGENCE OF NAEPC OR OTHERWISE.
I waive and release all claims, now known or hereafter known, against NAEPC, and its partners, vendors, officers, directors, employees, agents, affiliates, successors, and assigns, on account of injury, illness, disability, death, or property damage arising out of or attributable to the Conference, whether or not the injury, illness, disability, death or property damage arises out of the ordinary negligence of the NAEPC. I will not make or bring any such claim against the NAEPC and forever release and discharge the NAEPC from liability under such claims. This waiver and release does not extend to liabilities whose waiver is not permitted by law.
I shall defend, indemnify, and hold harmless NAEPC against any and all losses, damages, liabilities, deficiencies, claims, actions, judgments, settlements, interest, awards, penalties, fines, costs, or expenses, including reasonable attorney fees, fees, the costs of enforcing any right to indemnification under this Release, and the cost of pursuing any insurance providers, incurred by/awarded against NAEPC in a final non-appealable judgment, arising out or resulting from any claim of a third party related to my participation in the Conference, including any claim related to my own negligence.
If any term or provision is invalid, illegal, or unenforceable in any jurisdiction, such invalidity, illegality, or unenforceability shall not affect any other term or provision or invalidate or render unenforceable such term or provision in any other jurisdiction.
By completing the registration process, either by you or another person on your behalf, you agree to comply with all Terms & Conditions of Conference Registration.
